I actually used several resources for getting the party prepped from Etsy shops to Ebay to my local Hobby Lobby. I have pinned all my ideas here so if you want to see where my inspiration came from, here it is on Pinterest.
The cake was made by my oldest and is a three layer red velvet cake with cream cheese icing she tinted with red dye. The horses were ones we already had to place on top and the banner was ordered from Etsy. I was out of time otherwise I think it would be fairly easy to make. The horse suckers were also purchased from Etsy and I added pink ribbons and placed them in the steel containers that I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
I made some of the ribbon looking medallions on the strip of burlap and purchased some from a store on Etsy while adding the ribbons to make them look like medals. I used the Cricut and Silhouette to make different cut out pieces for the napkins rings and the cupcake picks. The glass jars were purchased at Hobby Lobby and I filled them with Sixlets and paper straws. The cupcake stands were purchased off of Ebay at a decent price. Although made of cardstock and Styrofoam they can be reused. I hot glued the pink and brown damask ribbon on the edge. The cowgirl frame was also purchased at Hobby Lobby along with the little saddle in the back.
Jamie made the cake pops all by herself after I baked the cake. She used Bakerella's cake pop kit for kids and loves it!
These were part of the party favors which included a best friends book with three best friends charm bracelets, a pencil bag with horse shaped erasers and a horse with stuffing that the girls were able to create themselves.
All in all it was a fun party and she enjoyed it a lot. I wished I could have made it bigger and better but my plans changed so this was what I came up with quickly.
