Mobile phone mishap doesn't sound like something that is too uncommon given the vast number of phones out there. I don't think there are hardly any barriers with age as I see some mighty young ones on a cell phone along with some senior citizens that can text faster than me. I think we all have a story on a mobile mishap but I can say that I only have had two that I can recall. Went swimming yesterday and knocked the phone off the sink and into the showers. It was wet and in several pieces.
ReplyDeleteMy mobile mishap was dropping my phone in the garage and chipping the paint. By a lucky coincidence, one of the three bottles of nail polishes I've had for ages was an exact match and fixed it up looking almost like new!

I've had so many!!! One was after I had gone on my honeymoon and dropped my phone in the ocean, I got back home to replace it, then dropped it right in a full, hot, steamy cup of coffee about 4 days later.

My phone cover cracked so I removed it until I could get another. My "naked" phone slipped out of my purse and hit the pavement at the pool. Thankfully it was OK!

ReplyDeleteIt was raining and I ran to my vehicle. When I got to work I noticed that I no longer had my phone. I assumed that I had left it at the restaurant. Turns out it had fallen out of my pocket and landed in a puddle. And then I ran over it. Needless to say, I had to get a new phone.

Most of my mobile mishaps have happened in the car - usually, my cell phone slides out of my bag or pocket without my realizing it, and more than a few times I've ended up stepping on it or knocking it to the ground when getting out. So far no damage besides some scrapes and nicks though!

I don't have problems with dropped calls, its more like a dropped phone, namely my phone. I'm always dropping it from some table top (I have to stop putting it near the edge). Luckily it took the knocks in stride and is still working.

I was trying on pants at Kohl's and I dropped it out of my back pocket into their hardwood floors. The back by the charger port cracked(iPhone). A week after that, I dropped it at the National Zoo while leaving the butterflies and cracked it the rest of the way. :(

My two tales of mobile phone woes seem to reflect the two most commons causes of cell phone demise:
ReplyDelete1. DROWNING (puddles, pools, tubs and toilets...)
2. Being CRUSHED to death (under foot/boot, bike, car, bus...)
We have experienced both of these traumatic experience, the drowing occurred when a certain cat, looking for trouble or attention (same thing!) knock my phone off the desk and into his WATER BOWL...
