Cupcake Recipes of the Day

Celebrate a devilishly delicious Halloween with these Halloween Skeleton Cupcakes from cupcakerecipes.com (click on title to go to site).

◦Active Time: 45 minutes

◦Total Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

INGREDIENTS◦

•1 box (18.25 oz) devil’s food cake mix
•1 1/2 cups lowfat buttermilk
•3 large eggs
•1/4 cup canola oil
•2 cans (16 oz each) dark chocolate frosting

Decoration: black gel or paste food color, 24 marshmallows, 24 (4-in.) thin breadsticks (grissini) or lollipop sticks, a clean artist’s brush, 24 grape fruit leather snacks (like FruitaBu), black decorating sugar, red nonpareil candies.

PREPARATION

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. You’ll need 24 regular-size muffin cups lined with paper, foil or Halloween-themed liners.
  2. Beat cake mix, buttermilk, eggs and oil in large bowl with mixer on medium speed 2 minutes or until just blended. Divide batter between muffin cups (1/4 cup batter per cup).
  3. Bake 24 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack 15 minutes before removing cupcakes to rack to cool completely.
  4. Tint chocolate frosting black with food color; frost cupcakes.
  5. To decorate: Slightly flatten marshmallows with palm of your hand. Insert a broken length of breadstick or lollipop stick into each marshmallow. Place some black frosting in a microwave-safe custard cup and microwave about 5 seconds, until thin and runny. Paint skeleton faces onto marshmallows with a fine paintbrush.
  6. Using the photo as a guide, cut fruit leather into bat wings with scissors; press in decorating sugar to coat. Roll fruit leather scraps into small balls, then shape into bat heads with ears; coat heads in sugar. Attach 2 nonpareil candies for eyes with a dab of frosting.
  7. To assemble: Using photo as guide, stand bat wings upright in frosting on top of cupcakes. Insert a skeleton head behind wings into middle of cupcake. Attach a bat head in middle of wings with frosting.Plan Ahead: You can bake cupcakes 2 weeks ahead and freeze. Frost and decorate up to 1 day ahead, cover and keep at room temperature.

*******************************************************

2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour*
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
2 oz. red food coloring (two bottles)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs, at room temperature
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup buttermilk, at room temperature
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line two 12-cup muffin tins with cupcake papers.

Sift together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt into a medium bowl; set aside. In a small bowl, mix food coloring and cocoa powder to form a thin paste without lumps; set aside.

In a large bowl, using a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about three minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then beat in vanilla and the red cocoa paste, scraping down the bowl with a spatula as you go. Add one third of the flour mixture to the butter mixture, beat well, then beat in half of the buttermilk. Beat in another third of flour mixture, then second half of buttermilk. End with the last third of the flour mixture, beat until well combined, making sure to scrape down the bowl with a spatula.

In a small bowl, mix vinegar and baking soda. Yes, it will fizz! Add vinegar mixture to the cake batter and stir well to combine. Using an ice cream scoop, fill cupcake cups with cake batter (they should be 2/3 – 3/4 full). You may not fill all the cups, I ended up with 20 cupcakes. Place muffin tins on the middle rack of a preheated 350 degree oven. Bake for approximately 20-22 minutes, rotating pans halfway through. Cupcakes are done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Check early and don’t overbake!

Cool the cupcakes in their tins on a wire rack for 10 minutes then remove and allow to cool completely before frosting. Frost cupcakes with cream cheese icing (recipe below) and decorate with red sprinkles if desired. The cupcakes above were decorated using the Wilton Cupcake Decorating Kit and Valentine’s Sprinkles. They can usually be found at craft stores like Michaels or Joann.

Enjoy the cupcakes with those you love!

Recipe Notes: *Sift cake flour once before measuring, then sift again with the other dry ingredients per recipe instructions. Wear an apron and be careful with the red food coloring–no matter how hard I try, I always end up staining something! As you’re mixing the cake batter, use a spatula to scrape down the bowl frequently throughout the entire process. Since the batter is fairly thick, I have found that an old-fashioned ice cream scoop works best for filling the cupcake wells (also great for muffin batter!). Since all ovens are different, make sure you check the cupcakes a little early. Mine were ready in just over 20 minutes, yours may be done sooner, or they may take a minute or two longer.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 16 oz. cream cheese (2 packages), softened
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (one stick), softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • pinch of salt
With an electric mixer, blend together cream cheese and butter until smooth. Turn mixer to low speed and blend in powdered sugar, salt and vanilla extract. Turn mixer on high and beat until light and fluffy. Use immediately or refrigerate, covered, until ready to use. If refrigerated, the frosting will need to be brought to room temperature before using (after frosting softens up, beat with mixer until smooth).

Recipe Notes: If you prefer a sweeter and/or stiffer frosting, more powdered sugar can be added (up to four cups). But remember, the more sugar you add, the less you’ll be able to taste the tangy cream cheese!

Not a Recipe but GORGEOUS!!!

Kitchen Kraft has great looking wrappers for your cupcakes.

Martha Stewart's Candied-Hazelnut Cupcakes

Ingredients

Makes 16

  • 1/2 cup whole unblanched almonds, toasted
  • 1/2 cup hazelnuts, toasted and skinned
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup cake flour (not self-rising), sifted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed dark-brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 4 large egg whites
  • Dark Chocolate Frosting
  • Caramel-Dipped Hazelnuts
Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line standard muffin tins with paper liners. In a food processor, pulse together almonds and hazelnuts until finely ground (do not overprocess, or the nuts will turn into a paste). Into a mixing bowl, sift together both flours, baking powder, and salt. Whisk in the ground nuts.
  2. With an electric mixer on medium-high speed, cream butter and both sugars until smooth. Beat in vanilla. Reduce speed to low. Add flour mixture in three batches, alternating with two additions of milk, and beating well after each.
  3. In another mixing bowl, with electric mixer on medium speed, whisk the egg whites until soft peaks form. In two additions, gently fold the egg whites into the batter.
  4. Divide batter evenly among lined cups, filling each three-quarters full. Bake, rotating tins halfway through, until a cake tester inserted in centers comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Transfer tins to wire racks to cool completely before removing cupcakes. Cupcakes can be stored up to 3 days at room temperature, or frozen up to 2 months, in airtight containers.
  5. Using an offset spatula, spread frosting over each cupcake. Cupcakes can be refrigerated up to 3 days in airtight containers; bring to room temperature and top with caramel-dipped hazelnuts just before serving.

Cute & Easy Halloween Decorations to Make Yourself

All You has this great instructional on making many Halloween decorations without having to spend big bucks.  Take a look:

Ginormous Spiders look really easy YET very spooky!

You’ll need:

  • Krylon H2O spray paint in black (go to krylon.com for retailers)
  • Styrofoam ball, 8" or 10" diameter
  • Scissors
  • 3 6' lengths of foam pipe insulation
  • Black telephone or stereo wires, or black twine
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors
1. Spray paint Styrofoam ball black. (Tip: Poke a stick into the ground and push the Styrofoam sphere onto it so you can paint entire ball. When you’re assembling spider, cover hole with an eye or leg.) Let dry.

2. Cut two 6' pieces of pipe insulation into 2' lengths for a total of six 2’ pieces.

Now take a 2' piece of pipe insulation and bend it about 10" from one end. Tie folded pieces together with wire to make a knee. Measure another 10” down from knee, fold insulation and tie folded pieces together with black wire to make ankle. Trim excess wire. Repeat on five remaining 2' lengths of pipe insulation.

3. Cut two 10" lengths from remaining 6' length of pipe insulation. To make front legs, bend each piece in half and tie folded pieces together with black wire. Trim excess wire.

4. Working on “thigh” (long part) of each leg, snip end on diagonal so it fits snugly into a ball. Starting with front legs, glue each leg to ball. (Refer to photo for positioning.) Tip: Hold each leg in place longer than you typically would―you're melting foam, so allow it to cool before letting go. Attach remaining six legs, three on each side.

5. Cut two half-circles, about 3" long, out of white paper, cardboard or craft foam. Cut a thin “slice” of leftover pipe insulation. Cut that piece in half to make two “C”-shaped pieces. Glue a “C” onto each half-circle. Position each eye on ball, and glue.

To display: Tie filament around legs, and hang from porch or tie to spider web.

You can't have the spiders without the web:

You’ll Need:

  • Tape measure
  • 6 dowels, about 18" long
  • Flexible, plastic-coated coated wire (12 to 14 gauge; 150’ long)
  • Wire cutters
  • Tape (electrical, duct or masking will work)
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Nails (optional)
Click here for our spider web diagram.

Each web consists of three parts: A) the hub, B) the frame wires that extend out from the center and C) the weft wires that weave frame wires together.

1. Choose location for web where it can be attached at top and one side; measure height and width.

2. Using these measurements, insert dowels into lawn to make a frame for weaving web (fig.1). Insert another dowel halfway between upper and lower corner nails on right side; repeat on left (fig. 2).

3. Twist wire around hub dowel; extend it to upper right nail to create frame wire (fig. 3). Twist to secure. Cut, leaving several inches excess. Wrap tape around wire end. Repeat, connecting each remaining dowel to hub with wire (fig. 4).

4. Cut a 3' to 5' length of wire (anything longer is unwieldy ―if at any time you come to the end of a wire, twist it to a frame wire, tape it, and start a new piece). Twist one end around left frame wire, about 6" from hub. Bend wire in a curved shape, and loop it around next frame wire to right. Crimp it around the frame wire with needle nose pliers. Repeat for the remaining 3 frame wires. At final frame wire, wrap to secure, then trim weft wire.

5. Repeat, spacing weft wires about 6" apart. Keep adding wires until you reach end of frame wires. Cover exposed wire ends with tape.

6. Slip web off of dowels. Hang web using nails or duct tape.

PumpkinHead Monster:

You’ll need:

  • 10-12 magazines
  • Newspaper
  • Masking or duct tape
  • Clothing: long-sleeve shirt, overalls or jeans, boots or high-top sneakers, hat
  • Chair
  • Monster gloves (available at costume stores)
  • Carved pumpkin
  • Mophead

1. To create monster’s skeleton, open a magazine to the middle and wrap it around rolled up newspaper so it’s the diameter of an arm. Wrap in tape to secure. Make four arm-size pieces, and four leg-size pieces.

2. For torso, open a magazine to middle and lay flat. Place wadded newspaper on top. Place a second open magazine on top of newspaper and tape together.

3. Wad newspaper into four balls, to make "knees" and "elbows." These joints make it easy to pose monster.

4. Layer clothes as desired. For instance, pull overalls over shirt(s). Insert body parts into clothes. Arrange body in chair, and fill in with wadded newspaper as desired.

5. Tuck “monster hands” into shirtsleeves. Tuck pant legs into boots.

6. Place carved pumpkin on monster’s torso. If it feels unstable, insert a dowel through bottom of the pumpkin and down through torso. Add mophead for hair and top with a hat.

LISA'S LAIR by Lisa Laird DiRosso

I am happy and excited to announce that Lisa Laird DiRosso, author of He Who Sings Last, will be featured as a guest columnist on my blog!

Catching Dreams

As a child, I desperately wanted a baseball glove; my parents refused to buy me one. In Baldwin, Long Island back in the 1970s, it just wasn’t something your average girl owned. Or at least none of the girls I was friendly with. The neighborhood boys would play baseball at the bottom of the hill on the street where I lived. The times they invited us girls to play were some of the best times I remember. I recall mostly playing the game with tennis balls, so not having a glove didn’t stop me from being on a team. However, in my mind, I believed that the crucial difference between a good player and an outstanding player was the glove. If only I had possessed that snugly, fitted piece of leather, I would have known for sure.

On one hand (no pun intended), owning the glove may have proved it was solely capable of grasping baseballs and tennis balls, not dreams. On the other hand, never having owned the glove as a kid had its advantage… it allowed me to hold onto the hope of the uncertain possibility that wearing the glove would have transformed me into the outstanding player I longed to become.

While reminiscing nine or ten years ago, I had told someone my glove story. The next day, there was a Rawlings baseball glove in my mailbox with a note that said: Go catch your dreams! I wore that glove many-an-evening, tossing a ball up in the air and catching it. I’d think about my life, past, present, and future and make plans and ponder dreams. Sometimes I wished upon stars. I never did get the chance to play an actual game wearing the glove, but that’s okay. It is better I never found out if the glove would have made a difference or not; uncertainty sustains hope.

I noticed the tag attached to the glove. (Copyright-The Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, 1991) The beginning read as such:

“A baseball glove is a beginning and an ending…a child’s first sure step towards adulthood, an adult’s final lingering hold on youth. It is promise and memory…”A few months ago, the daughter of a good friend of mine wanted a baseball glove to practice catching. I placed the cherished glove on my hand one last time before releasing it to its new owner. I envisioned myself thirty-something years younger and how being handed a glove back then would have meant the world to me. In my eyes, it will always represent promise. To an eager child, it will also someday represent memory. Promise and memory…and maybe even catch some dreams.

Soul Mate Searching

Too bad higher education doesn't offer degrees in dating. Is it possible for anyone to earn a Master's degree in marital bliss? "Sealing the deal" with the ideal person is one area where no-one has an advantage over anyone else. The quest begins during adolescence and progresses with each year thereafter. The whole ordeal is mostly disappointing, disenchanting, and emotionally exhausting. It's like one big, stressful game of "Spin the Bottle." Although most of us forfeit and succumb to marriage, it's not usually the dreamy great expectation we had hoped for.

Time after time I have heard the expression, "We always want the person we can't have" and it irritates me tremendously. Whereas the common belief is that it is the "thrill of the chase" we are attracted to, and not the actual person, I view it differently. Desiring the guy I "couldn't have" was always motivated by the possibility that he was the guy I was meant to have, destined to be with.

From what I've observed, most people don't believe in destiny. They may not even think about it, or, perhaps as solely a passing thought. I absolutely believe there is a soul mate for each of us. Regretfully, most of us will never locate and/or realize our divine treasures. The following simple concept may explain why so many relationships fail: If there were a shortage of apples and your mind was set on an apple, you wouldn't buy an orange and color it red, would you? I wouldn't; I'd hold out for the apple. Because no matter how much you try to make the orange look like an apple, it's still an orange. However, we compromise when it comes to relationships all the time. I'm sure that's why so many fail.

Your soul mate could be anyone, anywhere. And let me say this, the odds are not in your favor, not by a long shot. We start the search at a disadvantage. From the very beginning, the majority of people are off-limits for whatever the reason...too many to list. As if the search isn't difficult enough, we must recognize and eliminate con artists, frauds, and phonies, if we are lucky enough to pull off their masks and expose them as the diversions from destiny that they are. As in a video game, we must survive each level to go on to the next. The ultimate reward is a counterpart less than perfect to the world, but, more than perfect for his or her mate. If you are one of the fortunate few to find your treasure, consider your beloved a rare and sacred blessing. You will truly know the meaning of wealth.

Remember, your soul mate could be anywhere. As in the video game, collect your ammunition, gather lots of extra energy, and run as fast as you can. Jump over obstacles and dodge the enemies! Try your best to reach the highest level, to survive the game. You may never win and be united with your soul mate; nevertheless, I cannot stress how important it is to give it your best effort. If circumstances outside of your control prevent you from grasping gold, then aim for silver. Don't accept bronze.

Sadly enough, too many settle for aluminum foil.

Head Organics

PhotobucketI posted earlier about Head Organics because I found that this was an innovating business due to the organic mission long before it became popular.  If you ever looked at the ingredients of your favorite hair care products, you would be quite surprised.  I would venture to guess that there are some things in there that you have no idea what they are let alone be able to pronounce them.

Since Head Organics have been in business for over 40 years, I can trust that their products are safe and trusted.  It was 1969 that Head Organics launched its first pH-balanced, FD&C color free shampoos and conditioners.

Here are some other interesting facts about Head Organics:

  • Natural Biodegradable Ingredients
  • Sulfate Free
  • Paraben Preservative Free
  • FD&C Colorant Free
  • Gluten Free
  • 1,4-dioxane Free
  • Carcinogen Free
  • Glycol Free
  • Unique Fragrance Containing Essential Oils
  • No Animal Testing
  • Packaged in Recyclable Clear PETE Containers

The First Review:

This is a weightless treatment that also nourishes and detangles.  It helps to calm static, smooth flyaways and treats stubborn and damaged ends.  The infused hydrolyzed soy protein and plant based glycerin can be used in between for touch ups.  It can also be used daily.

The top is a cool flip one that stays attached which is great for me because I'm always losing the caps or too lazy to put them back on.  It has a great botanical aroma that is light and not overpowering like some products can be.

After I washed my hair, I sprayed the Leave-In Conditioning Spray all over my hair and combed it through to ensure all parts of my hair received the treatment.

I was hesitant to use too much as in the past, the products would weigh my hair down and give it a greasy look that wouldn't respond to the flat iron.  This was not like that.  My hair felt softer and had more volume.  My hair usually has the frizzies since it's naturally curly but this lasted until the next morning.  I have used it for five days now and I am not disappointed (see pic to the right).  I will update this after a couple of weeks to see if I notice a change in my split ends.

Rose Plus Marine Collagen Complex by The Organic Pharmacy

Everyone wants to look younger and if you are still young enough to not worry, you should!  There is no better time to fight aging.  I have tried product after product and am quickly becoming a fan of The Organic Pharmacy.  I'm still using the Carrot Butter Cleanser that I tried and reviewed earlier.  My face glows with the gentle cleansing, softening ingredients of carrots with shea & cocoa butter.  This is a definite favorite of mine and I've barely made a dent in the jar.  I feel it's well worth the costs as this will last a long time.  It was even awarded the Best Organic Skincare CEW award.

Megan Brown from Light Year's Ahead provided a bottle of The Organic Pharmacy's Rose Plus Marine Collagen Complex.  The bottle is slender enough to take on trips if you are a traveler and is very easy to apply.  The product information states this is "an intensive treatment aimed to make skin 10 years younger by targeting the collagen and eslastin in the skin."  The best part is it is suitable for any skin type so you don't have to worry about choosing the right type for your skin.  I am prone to acne and most products will increase my acne but this did not.

It's very light, goes on without a heavy residue and has a fantastic scent.  Most facial creams and serums are either heavy or greasy and require your hands to be washed after application.  This is not like that.  I just applied after my nightly cleansing and my face feels cool and wonderful.

Four unique ingredients were isolated due to their novel and effective action thanks to extensive research.  Rose Plus Marine Collagen Complex's four unique ingredients were combined with other organic extracts known for their antioxidant and healing activities.

Overall, I really like this due to the fact it is made of 100% natural and 81% organic ingredients.  The picture on the top was taken two weeks ago when I first received the Rose Plus Marine Collagen Complex.  Granted the lighting is different, I can see a subtle change in the fine lines around the corner of my eyes.  My skin is softer and looks better in my opinion.  I didn't expect a miracle but it's enough to keep me using it.  The scent is wonderful, the feeling is light and with the two products to date, The Organic Pharmacy is becoming my favorite place!

Here are the ingredients and intended results:
  • Hibiscus Abelmoschus extracts helps to stimulate growth factor & cell growth collagen boosting as skin is regenerated and the skin's texture, elasticity and density are maximized.
  • The unique dill extract stimulates LOXL, protecting Elastin degradation and stimulating Elastin production. As we age, LOXYL decreases but with this dill extract, elasticity is increased, wrinkles are reduced and facial architecture is restored.
  • Milk protein provides bio active peptides that increase cell renewal, collagen and fibroblasts.  This assists in reducing deep and fine wrinkles leaving a radiant youthful appearance.  I noticed my skin was smoother and definitely softer.  I thought the texture looked much better and I saw a slight reduction in the fine lines but keep in mind, I only used this for two weeks.
  • Marine collagen, chondroitin, sodium hyaluronate and ursolic acid derived organically increases elasticity and the reduction of wrinkles.
  • The special combination of Kigelia Africana, Calendula Officinalis, Rose Hop, New Zealand Fern and Goji Berries help the skin to heal and protect from free radicals, helps to firm while giving skin a radiant appearance that is firm and hydrated.

The Organic Pharmacy: Carrot Butter Cleanser

The more I learn about the chemicals and preservatives in all products we consume, the more I worry. These ingredients are in our food, our drinks, our our beauty products and I'm sure the list goes on.

With my continuous battle of the bulge, I started reading more and more about these products that are added into everything and became concerned. I never really thought about them being added to our beauty products and baby products until recently.

The Organic Pharmacy has interesting and informative content on this very issue. It states that on average, we use between 5 to 15 products a day that are full of toxins. If you think about it, at least from a woman's perspective, it's very true. Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, facial lotion/moisturizer, acne medication, deodorant, foundation, blush, powder and so forth. By the time we get ready to eat more toxic products, we are already toxic.

CellCeuticals Versus Oil of Olay

I had used CellCeuticals products for aging for several weeks and wrote about those results at two weeks and again at four weeks (click here to read about the four week results). I put CellCeuticals aside to try Oil of Olay via my assignment over at Yahoo's Shine. After reviewing and writing about Oil of Olay, I decided to return to CellCeuticals as so far, it's the best product I have found.

Oil of Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller Review

I'm in a race. A race against time and wrinkles.

Okay, that's not me and I'm not literally racing but I am doing whatever I can to ease the effects of year's of abuse by laying out as it was cool in the 80's and 90's to look tan. I also am trying to combat new wrinkles so I try whatever is new to see if it will help. I've tried Botox which scared me too much as I watched it wear off and saw my upper lids droop. I've tried just about every cream, lotion, solvent that you can think of so although I'm not deemed an expert, I can provide a fairly good opinion!

Organic Beauty Products

Do you worry about the chemicals and other ingredients in your make up?  Are you looking for organic products that give you the results you want without the worry of chemicals or other dangerous products you are putting on your skin?

Join me in sharing what great products you have found that are organic and/or never tested on animals.  I've brought my 21 year old on board to help with this blogging feature since she's into all the trendy, latest products.

Have a product you love and can't say enough about?  Leave a comment or better yet, be a guest blogger!

Do you know what qualifies a make up line to be considered organic?
  • Free of synthetics
  • Free of parabens
  • Not tested on animals
  • May or may not be certified
You probably know that the skin is the largest organ we have.  Most everything you put on your skin is absorbed so why add to the toxic level of our bodies with harmful chemicals and other products?

The other benefit of using organic make up products is the manufacturer usually uses organic oriented containers so that means less waste.

Stay tuned for more!

Oil of Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller Review
(copied from my blog entry as Beauty Geru on SHINE)

I'm in a race. A race against time and wrinkles.

Okay, that's not me and I'm not literally racing but I am doing whatever I can to ease the effects of year's of abuse by laying out as it was cool in the 80's and 90's to look tan. I also am trying to combat new wrinkles so I try whatever is new to see if it will help. I've tried Botox which scared me too much as I watched it wear off and saw my upper lids droop. I've tried just about every cream, lotion, solvent that you can think of so although I'm not deemed an expert, I can provide a fairly good opinion!

As a Shine Beauty Guru, I was provided Oil of Olay Regenerist products which made my day! I still remember receiving the unexpected package and opening it like I was a little kid at Christmas and then I spent more time flaunting my new toys! Our assignment consisted of picking one of the products. I reviewed each one, read the package, looked at the actual products before making my decision.

I picked the one that was most appealing to me and that was the Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging Eye Roller. I choose this because it looked different, the packaging was appealing and it focused on the eyes. After a few clicks of the top the first time, it dispenses a cool, liquid sensation around the eye area. The massaging effects of the precision micro-rollers provide a concentrated hydrating anti-aging treatment to reduce eye puffiness and diminish fine lines and wrinkles.

What I liked about the roller was I could apply it without wasting any on my fingers. The idea of a direct application is very appealing as well as the thought of getting a massaging effect that would benefit my skin. The packaging was sophisticated and was a draw to the appearance of the package. It was easy to open and easy to understand how to use the roller. I am one of those that are drawn to pretty or interesting packaging and I think Olay hit the nail on the head with the marketing appeal.

After using it for about a month now, I noticed a llittle difference in my fine lines. I don't normally have puffiness so I can't comment on that. I'm not sure if you combine it with one of the recommended other products they offer, if it would have accelerated the effect or if I need to use it longer than 30 days.

The Roller works best when you combine it with another anti-aging product such as Regenerist Night Recovery Cream, Regenerist Regenerating Serum or the Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
