I was previleged to work with Coppin's Hallmark Gold Crown store to review one of their many products.

I selected one of their Pillow Pets, with SO many options to choose from it was hard to select just one. However I was drawn in by the super cute face and bold colors of the Tiger (photo to the right). I could not believe how fast the item arrived from Coppin's Hallmark, it felt like it came next day. The item was packaged nice and when it came out of the box my daughter squealed with excitement. She was so excited to have a new "baby". The Pillow pet is so colorful, even more so in person. In addition it is very soft and well made. Pillow pets are a unique stuffed animal, pillow combination.

To a child, few things compare to the warmth and security offered by a stuffed animal. Combine that with the functionality of a pillow, and you have My Pillow Pets! They are wonderful buddies at nap-time, on a road trip, on a plane ride, or anytime. My Pillow Pets are made of super-soft chenille, and they are anything but an ordinary stuffed animal.

My daughter has refused to put this baby down and it has officially replaced the pillow in her bed. This is a must have for her to go to sleep at night. I understand why :)

Wholly Guacamole and Sonic Prize Pack Giveaway

Have you heard the news? Wholly Guacamole is at Sonic and I've already been there, devoured one and love it! If there are two things that I love it is Sonic and Wholly Guacamole. Putting the two together was a genius idea!!! Although I did not participate in this blogger opportunity, I'm helping to promote it for the Save More Spend Less blog. I couldn't wait to try the new Wholly Guacamole dog, but I had to be patient because I hadn't been to Sonic in awhile because of the Cinchspiration weight loss challenge. So finally I had a day that I was able to swing into Sonic to try the new products.

My poor hubby was perplexed when I told him I wanted a Wholly Guacamole Dog, but he ordered away (without jalapeno's of course) and let me tell you he was just as excited to try it as I was. I told him we each had to get one and that was it for supper. He of course thought I was loosing my marbles but ordered his and mine along with our diet drinks!! Our daughter was at a friends house so we ate without her!!

When the carhop delivered our food we were both anxious to try the yummy goodness. So we of course dug right in and let me tell you, its a good thing I only let him order one a piece. We are both in love with the Wholly Guacamole Dog!! It is made with an all beef hot dog which is the only kind of hot dog I eat. The pepper jack cheese was just the right amount of kick along with the Wholly Guacamole!! The cheese was also delicious but I could have left the tomatoes off, but the onions were a must have. This perfect flavor combination was fantastic!! They didn't even need ketchup and mustard!!

That Moment You Realized Your Parenting Skills Paid Off

My oldest is just about 24 and has her own almost two year old. I watch her as an adult, a daughter, an older sister and a mother and realized what a great person she has turned out to be. I watch my five and nine year old and see the same qualities emerging that I saw in my oldest at their respective ages and am humbled that they are on the same path. Of course as parents, we never know who will influence our children as the progress with age and we hope for the best. My oldest had the foresight to run a different path from her friends. None of her friends ended up in dire situations but they could have or worse yet, my daughter could have. Could have but didn't. I do credit her decision making to how I raised her.

My two younger ones are definitely different but then again, they have siblings whereas my oldest didn't so I'm not sure if that will affect them or make them more loving. They get along great and it really makes me smile to see how most of the time, they act like best friends. Don't get me wrong, they still can be holy terrors and mean to one another but they also are great together. My nine year old strives to be like her older sister and is a giver. My youngest is a giver but she can be a taker so I'm hoping her young age will level out with being more of a giver. All three help with our non-profit so that part of giving back has already been instilled in them.

Overall, they are all amazing and besides, how many five and nine year olds would let you complete telephone interviews without being interrupted or heard? I can't imagine many. I'm finishing day two of my fifth interview for a new job and they were just absolutely amazing. They are helping each other, they are getting along and they are just being loving to one another. I'm very proud of my girls and realized, I must have done something right as a parent.

Angus with Sound and Merida Doll Set Giveaway 7/26 - US ($40 Value)

Brave, the big hit from Disney/Pixas, is a beloved tale of a vibrant redhead who learns a valuable lesson while on a journey she never bargained for. I can't exactly give it away can I? We went to see it earlier in the week and my girls really enjoyed it. There was the red headed connection since my middle one is a red head and they both love horses. It's a tale that includes a brave girl, Merida, and her strong mother. I think it's good in that it teaches children that a girl and a woman can be strong and can accomplish a lot on their own. In the traditional story lines, there is always a boy/man who is the hero so showing girls that they can be strong and brave is good.

My girls already have some of the Brave toys and are beyond happy with them. They have the bow and arrow along with the sword and shield. They are good quality toys that have allowed them plenty of play time. The sword is neat in that with the press of the button, it varies with different clanking noises like a real sword would make. The Merida dress is just beautiful. We saw that at the Disney store but did not purchase that. The dolls available are equally beautiful from Merida to Angus and not to forget, the adorable little brothers.

Recently I got my first tattoo, and when the artist complete the tattoo he told me on my way home to get some Aquaphor and that I would need to put it on several times a day for two weeks. Its "Enriched with soothing chamomile and provitamin B5, the tear-free formula is specially designed and clinically proven to be mild enough for baby's sensitive skin." this was a perfect addition to our bath routine, I was excited that it was an all in one for her as she is getting older she wants to wash herself however i never know if the soap is going to go on the body or in the hair. With this product it does not matter as it is meant for it all. Aquaphor has a GREAT line of products for babies on up, they offer some soothing advanced therapy items that makes the healing ointment a must have in any bathroom cabinet. Overall I have been nothing but impressed by the quality of the Aquaphor products and would recommend it to everyone.

I tried to make a video review but my middle one had trouble remembering her lines and then I couldn't get her to hold it still to record me so we opted for pictures. It really is so easy to use and she had fun making the cola.

Are you wondering how it's made yet? It's easy and fun! Fill up the eco-friendly bottle with normal tap water, you can chill it in the refrigerator first or use it straight from the tap. Press the button for carbonation a few times, remove from the bottle from the machine and then add your favorite flavor. You can add the amount of fizz and flavor you want and the best part, you reuse the bottle thus limiting trash.
