Creative Bioscience 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge

If you are a regular reader to my blog, you know I've been in a year long mission to get healthier and lose weight. I've done pretty well so far as I've lost 30 pounds since last June and have kept it off. I'm just having trouble getting the last few pounds to find a new home. The Never Ending Birthday

In April, my middle daughter had a mini birthday as my oldest and my grandbaby came for a visit. We knew we wanted to have a Hello Kitty themed party so we decided to get a cake and a couple of small presents along with some flowers. Later, we had the big Hello Kitty party for both girls since they wanted the same theme. Danielle was happy because she had her big party. So when it came time for her birthday, I let her have her cake, flowers and a small gift a couple of days ahead of time.

Big mistake! On the day of her actual birthday, she wanted to know where her presents were and so I explained that she already received gifts two other times. Then she went into this long teary eyed discussion asking me if I understood what birthdays were and what was expected at birthdays. There was no reasoning with her especially since she's a hot head!

I confess that I spoil my children. She did get one more cake but no more presents. Luckily, my parents sent her a gift that she was able to open yesterday and that diverted the disaster. She also discovered a loose tooth so that took some of the heat off myself! I have five interviews forthcoming for a job and am not quite sure how well they will do once I return to the work force. I am lucky that wherever I end up, my oldest, her daughter and her fiance will be coming with me to be my full time nanny. The girls are definitely excited about that!

Wholly Pineapple Salsa! The only thing I could think when I got this great cooler full of Wholly Salsa was put that pineapple salsa on some chicken! All I had to do was take some chicken breast and lightly season them. I then sauteed them in a dollop of olive oil and cooked them thoroughly. Wa La! Add some Wholly Pineapple Salsa and it was delish! You could really taste the Pineapple, which is perfect for chicken, and it had a little tang with the bite of salsa flavors. Not quite spicy (just the tang) but it did give you that impression without the burn. The Wholly Pineapple Salsa was especially a hit with my husband who loves salsa.

We also made an appetizer with the Wholly Guacamole and Salsa Verde. Umm... not all of it made it to the dish as we ate while we prepared it. This Wholly Salsa Verde with Guacamole is absolutely perfect. The taste of salsa verde stands out and you can taste the guacamole at the same time. It was a taste sensation that had us scraping the bowl clean to get it all. This was also a very easy dish because we wanted Wholly to do all the work. We simply took a can of refried beans, topped that with some sour cream and layered it with the Wholly Salsa Verde and Guacamole. We then topped it with some shredded cheese. Need I say that it is all gone?

The recipes sound delicious! I love Wholly Guacamole myself and can't wait to try the Wholly Salsa Verde. I'm a huge Mexican dish fan and even love guacamole on my sandwiches and salads. It's good for you too!

I love to run around barefoot but I also dislike having cold feet. I have never found a comfortable pair of slippers that I continuously wear.
