The Snugg iPad Case/Cover Review

We finally bought an iPad but it's my girls who get the most use out of it.  I had to admit the iPads are really nice to have and are not only entertaining but educational.  After seeing all the commercials and the various apps that are available, I broke down and decided the girls should have an iPad.  Once choosing the iPad as if you are a noobie like me, it's hard to determine which version you should purchase if money matters, so selecting a case is almost as equally important.  I was given the opportunity to review an iPad case from The Snugg. Since the girls primarily use the iPad, I wanted to choose a girly looking case which is why I selected the Pink Leather Snugg iPad 4 Case Cover and Flip Stand.

The girls had their choice from the Otterbox case we already had which was purple and black or the case from The Snugg.  They chose The Snugg's case probably because they liked the looks of a build in cover, flip stand and stylus holder.  I like the cover aspect as it protects the screen.  I don't know about durability as I wasn't going to drop it to see how it protects but I do know it looks nice, the leather is of good quality and it's very appealing to the girls.  They like the flip stand as it makes it convenient for viewing movies or playing games whereas they don't want to hold the iPad.

I checked out the online reviews and every review I read was complimentary for the company.  A couple had to consult customer service and all were pleased with the service provided.  The costs of the cases are comparable to some other cases but again, the built in features make it a win-win for children and adults.

Overall, it's a durable, high quality case that provides benefits with built-in features such as the stand, cover and stylus holder.  We would recommend The Snugg.

Our Easter Day Dresses from Adorable Baby Clothing

Our Easter was beautiful with sunny skies and warm temperatures making the Easter egg hunt wonderful.  If you read my blog regularly, you know that my daughter just got married.  This post is two fold, one to share our Easter photos and second, I wanted to share the dresses the girls wore from Adorable Baby Clothing.  These dresses are perfect because the sashes can be interchanged to go with any occasion.  We had gold sashes for the wedding and lavender for Easter.  I love the children's formal clothing from Adorable Baby Clothing.  I usually purchase all my clothing for birthdays and holidays from them due to the quality as there are special touches such as extra built in material to provide fullness.  Every article of clothing I have purchased to date have been made in the US and the customer service is amazing.  I even purchased matching shoes for the wedding.

My Daughter's Mountain Wedding & Purple Day Awareness

She finally did it!  My oldest married her long time fiance and made it official on Friday. The wedding was very intimate and only included parents of the bride and groom along with my other two children and my grand baby.  It was a typical windy day but I think it delighted us with a bit more wind than normal much to our chagrin but we made the best of it.  The pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped due to the overcast skies.  I'm only sharing the younger girls pictures as I'm waiting for my daughter to post the pictures of her and her husband so I don't steal their thunder.

Discovering Scissors

It's always a fun time when the little ones discover scissors.  She's a cutting maniac and can cut through a ream of paper in about three days.  She's always making things which I love the creativity and definitely credit my nine year old as she's just as creative and taught her the love of making all things.  Danielle takes it a step further as she makes paper boats, paper bird nests, paper clothes.  You name it, she's made it!  I never worried about her scissor activity until one day when I noticed she had some minor bangs.  I really noticed it at the dentist office as she laid back in the chair.  I asked. She denied.  I explained how I would ask God while I prayed that evening to tell me the truth.  I guess that worked as she confessed.

My other girls never cut their hair so this was a first but I'm pretty sure she won't be doing it again anytime soon.  I am just thankful she didn't cut the rest of it as she has really long hair.  She decided awhile ago to be like Rapunzel in Tangled.  In a couple of weeks, my oldest is getting married so her haircut could have been something a little unsightly or at least memorably funny.  I just can't wait for her to get out of her Edward Scissorhands mode.

Smoking is something that I know about but not for myself.  I grew up with chain smoking parents and surprisingly til this day, I cannot breath around the smoke.  It has such an effect on me that it's hard to breath and smoke.  I vowed I'd never be around it again due to the health implications.  Since I am familiar with cigarette smokers, I also know how hard it is to stop.  My father explains it's not just a physical need but a mental addiction as well as you have to have that thing between your fingers.  This is where NICOmate disposable electronic cigarette is perfect.  NICOmate devices are not just any ordinary smoking device as it sophisticated  with three components:

1. A long life lithium ion rechargeable battery supplies the power to the device which is housed in the part of a non-electric cigarette that would be lit.  An electronic chip regulates the amount of power distributed when the user is puffing.
2. The switch and LED also housed in the part of the non-electric cigarette that would be lit.  The LED lets the user know when it's in use or when it's low on battery.  The eCigarette turns on and off automatically when the user inhales.
3. Cartomizers are the disposable part of the eCigarette that screws into the battery. They have an atomizer and flavored nicotine liquid.  Each cartomizer provides a new atomizer which is different from previous generations of eCigarettes whereas  the user only recharged the liquid.  This avoids the problem of ineffective atomizers after repeat usage thus providing more value for the dollar.

Back to my father as I immediately thought of him when I was offered the opportunity to review the NICOmate eCigarette.  He doesn't like to travel due to the restrictions on smokers.  It's always been something that weighed heavy on his mind as smokers know, it's something they cannot go long without.  

The advantages of the NICOmate eCigarette are numerous and include little or no restrictions on where one can smoke due to no smoke, ash or flame.  There are no carcinogens or carbon monoxide unlike traditional cigarettes.  No more worrying about smokey smelling clothes or stained teeth. The NICOmate eCigarette can be taken easily anywhere, saves money and has a liftetime warranty.  There are even choices in flavors ranging from regular tobacco flavor to menthol, mint, apple, vanilla and strawberry.  It's quite possibly a great way to stop smoking and save money.

The review:

Unfortunately, some die hard smokers are beyond approach in changing their ways as was my dad.  At 76, there was no convincing him to try to use this alternative to regular smoking so I had my husband try it who is a past smoker and currently uses chew (both which I despise).  When he was in Kuwait a couple of year's ago, he tried one and wasn't impressed.  In spite of his experience with eCigarettes, he was willing to try it again.  He was impressed with the kit we received.  He thought it was sophisticated and modern and liked the convenience of plugging in the charger to an outlet or via USB to a computer.

Getting used to them was no problem as you still get to hold it in your hand as you normally would.  He liked the flavor and didn't feel like he was "cheated" out of his past tobacco fill from regular cigarettes.  He was very interested in the different flavors although we didn't get to try.  He also liked that each atomizer is the equivalent to up to 300 puffs which could equate to two packs of cigarettes and that can be a huge savings!  As of this morning, he's contemplating switching to the NICOmate eCigarette which shows his approval of the NICOmate!
